This may offer a number of advantages to employers and workers alike, who may enjoy the simpler, quicker hiring process

The IMP lets employers hire temporary workers without an LMIA. Exemptions from the LMIA process are based on both of the following:

the broader economic, cultural or other competitive advantages for Canada
the reciprocal agreements (e.g. IEC, CUSMA, CETA)

Foreign workers that are exempt from the LMIA requirement may still need a work permit in order to work in Canada. The work permit issued under this program may be open or close work permit.

The Post-Graduation Work Permit Program	For students who have studied and graduated from a Canadian Designated Learning Institution (DLI) & eligible for PGWP
Reciprocal Youth Exchange Agreements	People who fall under International Experience Canada (IEC) – for those between the ages of 18 and 30 years of age who want to travel and work in Canada
International Free Trade Agreements	The reciprocal agreement between Canada and Other countries: United States; Mexico; Chile; Peru; Columbia; Korea; European Union; and General Agreement On Trade In Services.
The Intra-Company Transfer Program	For those who want to open a branch/ company in Canada and want to transfer key employees to their Canadian branch
The Bridging Open Work Permit	For those who want to work in Canada and are in transition to becoming a permanent resident
Situations of Social or Cultural Benefits to Canada	For those who can contribute to Canada in a Significantly way by contributing to its success or proving that their arrival will be beneficial for Canada

The process of apply for work permit under IMP is as following:

STEP 1: Get a job offer from Canadian Employer

Employers will need to meet the following requirements to hire foreign worker via IMP:

Prove that the job or worker meets the requirements for LMIA-exemption;
Pay the compliance fee of $230; and
Submit an official job offer via the IMP Employer Portal(if required).

STEP 2: Apply for Work Permit

Once you secure a job offer, you will be able to apply for your work permit. You will need your offer of employment number to complete your application. If eligible to work in Canada, your application will be approved and you will receive:

A letter of introduction and a work permit from a Canada border services officer; or
A new work permit (if you live in Canada or apply when you enter Canada.

Step 3: Prepare for Your New Job in Canada

Once you have your work permit and travel visa you can come to Canada and start working at your new position.
